Vincent Twagira
Director of Travel
Rwanda/Uganda
Vincent, our Co-director of Golden Trekkers Africa and Tour Organizer, is a Rwandan, born in Uganda. He has worked in tourism and conservation under the Government of Rwanda for 7 years as a tourist guide in the Volcanoes National Park before he started Golden Trekkers Africa.
Vincent now lives in Uganda. He is familiar with the East African region and has significant experience as a professional tourist organizer/facilitator and understands the needs and desires of international visitors to the region.
Vincent’s commitment to ensuring the satisfaction of his clients led him to start Golden Trekkers Africa as a way to ensure that all aspects of operations are handled with the utmost attention to detail, and always with traveler needs in mind. He is committed to continual professional growth and environmental stewardship, having recently participated in a number of professional development courses in tourism and conservation.

In 2010 Vincent was lucky enough to have been a part of the international team that conducted the mountain gorilla census in Rwanda, The Democratic Republic of Congo, and Uganda.

Because of his passion for wildlife, in 2018 Vincent started a program to conserve the national parks and wildlife reserves of Uganda and Rwanda involving children: the Children Conservationists Programme Foundation.
